Classic Louisville-based band The Monarchs are set to return to the stage at My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Bardstown on Monday, Aug. 4. The show is part of the 2025 Budweiser Live at the Park Concert Series, an annual series hosted by The Stephen Foster Drama Association (SFDA).
The Monarchs have been performing since 1961 with their brand of doo-wop and old-time rock and roll. The band performs hits such as “Look Homeward Angel,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Run Around Sue,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’,” “Runaway,” “My Girl,” “Turn Around,” “Old Time Rock n Roll,” “Twist and Shout” and more.
“The Monarchs are always a great addition to our Live at the Park Concert Series lineup and we are excited to once again welcome local royalty to the stage,” said Johnny Warren, Executive Artistic Director for The Stephen Foster Story and SFDA.
