The Stephen Foster Drama Association is excited to announce that our 2026 Summer Broadway Musical will be “Annie.” The show, set to be performed in July and August, will take place at the J. Dan Talbott Amphitheatre in Bardstown, and tickets are available now. “Annie” will be presented on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 8 p.m.
“Annie” is a classic musical based on the comic strip “Little Orphan Annie” about a tenacious, red-headed orphan in 1930s New York City who, despite a “hard knock life” under the cruel Miss Hannigan, finds hope in tomorrow and eventually charms billionaire Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, leading to an adventure to find her real parents, uncovering villains along the way and discovering that family can be found in unexpected places.
The show features classic Broadway songs such as “Tomorrow,” “Maybe,” “Easy Street,” “Little Girls” and more.
Running alongside performances of “The Stephen Foster Story,” we’re proud to continue our Summer Broadway Series after last year’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music” and Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” in 2024.
“Annie” is presented with support from Salt River Electric, a Touchstone Energy Cooperative serving Bullitt, Nelson, Spencer and Washington counties since 1937. Additional support is provided by Physicians to Children & Adolescents, a local pediatric office that has been in the community for over 40 years, providing care from birth to adolescence to the children of Nelson County, Washington County and the surrounding areas.
Tickets for “Annie” are available now by clicking here or by calling our box office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 502-348-5971.
